Every Thursday night The Red, White and Blue Celebration at HarborWalk Village applauds our local heroes who have gone above and beyond for the sake of our community.
Food For Thought is one of the local heroes honored at the Red, White and Blue Celebration. It assists school children facing food insecurity in our community. These children live in homes without enough food to eat and they depend on the school for free or reduced meals. The organization feeds these children healthy, easy to prepare food using a backpack program every Friday. It also provides food to these families during the holiday and summer break. Founded by Tiffanie Shelton, Food For Thought Outreach helps children at Destin Elementary, Butler Elementary, Bay Elementary, and Emerald Coast Middle School. It depends on food donations from the community and pantry item donations are gladly accepted.
Come out to honor our local heroes and enjoy live entertainment, face painting, free kids’ crafts, and a WWII replica flyover. The evening is signed off with spectacular fireworks displayed over the Destin Harbor. Time 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
