The Pirate Palooza at Harborwalk Village will be held on September 19th. September 19th is international “Talk like a Pirate Day.” This holiday’s purpose is to encourage people to talk like a pirate for a day and enjoy the sheer fun of it. “It’s been celebrated by millions of people on all seven continents – yes, even at the South Pole – and on the International Space Station!” (That’s what it says on the official Facebook page)
Well then, Ahoy mates! The Pirate Palooza at Harborwalk is going to give you all the chances you need to celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day and even more.
A challenge between local pirate crews has been made! The Crew of the Buccaneer Pirate Ship challenges the Krewe of Bowlegs to come and participate in the Pirate Palooza at Harborwalk Village. Mates, swabbies and land lubbers, young and old, will enjoy the entertainments of the evening.

Think you have the best pirate costume to sail the seven seas? Come and enter the contest or walk the plank
Tom Mason and the Blue Buccaneers will entertain from 7:00-9:00 pm
The Blue Buccaneers is made up of some of the finest musicians and you will enjoy their work which is rich with spice and passion. “Tom’s theatricality and musicianship make for an explosive mix. His songs conjure up a life on the seas in an era when the only hope for destitute sailors was to go “on the account”, to become pirates.

After the Pirate Grog Competition and Rum Runners Relay, it’s going to be up to the last man standing for this Pub Crawl through Harborwalk Village.

You’ll see the Buccaneer Pirate Ship navigating The Emerald Coast waters daily. The captain is an experienced seadog and his bold crew has only one command from him; to make sure that anyone onboard his ship has fun. The Pirate Ship with captain and crew departs from HarborWalk Village Marina, Destin, Florida.
About those who are being challenged: Billy Bowlegs Krewe
The Krewe of Bowlegs is made up of hard-working and fun-loving individuals in the business community who have been elected to lead in a festival that has turned into one of the “nation’s longest-running and most popular pirate festivals.” People come by land, sea, and air to join in this event. One can only hope that the Billy Bowlegs Krewe is up to the challenge from the Buccaneer Crew!
